It took every ounce of Dogins mental powers to keep the smile that wanted to spread across his face from showing. Calmly collecting himself Dogin decided it best to put a ruse on. "Are you sure Ms. White? Our path will be fraught with danger..." Joe lumbered his way into the conversation "Aye but it would be good to have ya along thats for sure!" Dogin gave Joe a look but didn't say anything
"Though the danger of the quest is quite real I can understand why you might want to aid us in such an extensive journy... You don't have to push yourself..." Joe butted in "Ah come on Dogin! Stop being such a ninny! Shell be fine so long as you and I are around."
Though Dogin kept his ruse he "Gave in" to Joes plea. Knowing that if anything where to happen there was few others that would give as much as Dogin and Joe to protect Calana.

White stood, smiling. "Aye, I'm sure. I offer you my sight and..." Silverstorm rang as it cleared it's sheath. White brought it up with a flourish so that it was right in front of her face, "my blade to help you in your quest." Some of the fiery spirit of Calana shown through White's eyes, the fire that shown when she was happy and eager, or angered and insulted. "But on one condition," she added as she lowered the blade, "if ever I become a burden, I wish to be dismissed." Jandri sat forward a little. "Well this could get interesting... I could turn it into a song... or epic. I think I'll tag along as well."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Calana sat cross-legged on the ground of that endless void of black and white. The bandage hung around her neck (in her prison, her eyes were healed). Silverstorm lay on the ground before her. A look of complete concentration was on her face. She had sat like this for a long time but nothing had happened. She was trying to escape, but the void was a fortress build to keeping people in. But then a glimmer of hope, a crack in the armor. A foggy image began to form in front of her. It looked as it would if she were using sound to see. The vision began to become more clear and sounds and smells began to reach her. "What is this... this... cannot be..." It was a room with three people besides herself. "That figure... that scent... that voice... but that place... this is no memory..." Calana tilted her head, leaning forward a little. "NO! Stop!" hissed a voice from the void beyond the vision. Calana was immediately on her feet, sword at the ready, the vision gone. "I killed you once, wicked spirit! I'll do it again!" An evil laugh echoed through the emptiness.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
White's expression changed as did the look in her eyes. She seemed to be a completely different person. She wore a look of recognition and confusion as she stared at Dogin. She leaned forward and she suddenly looked like she had only seconds before, showing no signs that anything had happened.

Both Dogin and Joe nodded there heads "Glade to have you with us Ms. White, but I don't think you'll ever be as much of a burden as that stubborn Naravork we had to escort over the central mountain range!" Dogin rolled his eyes "The more the marry." Dogin turned to face Jandri "My dear... Both mine and Joes lives have already been inscribed in legeand... and our tales are told across the land! Though we may need someone to tell of this new journey. To tell our story as we yet again face great danger all in the name of Gorgraz and for the sake of the balanace..." All in all Dogin knew that the road ahead was fraught with danger and that survival was not guaranteed.

White smiled. "Well, with such adventures ahead of us, we should probably get a good night's sleep and leave in the morning." She slid Silverstorm into it's sheath then picked up the bandage and hung it around her neck. "Good night. If any of you need anything, please don't hesitate to wake me." she said as she slowly crossed the room to the door of her room. Just before she closed the door, she turned to them, "Sleep well." She quietly closed the door behind her.
She slipped into the bed after removing her robe and weapons, putting Silverstorm right beside the bed as she did every night. Her mind swam with thoughts, worries, and feelings, all of which she didn't understand. But trying to see the artifact had drained her energy, and she quickly fell asleep.
Jandri looked at the two Zargonians. "Well, I'm gonna hit the sack too..." she looked around the room, "And that would be that arm chair over there." She stood up form the table, took off her traveling coat, and cureled up in the chair. She then covered up with the coat. "Try to keep it down, if ya don't mind." Then she settled in and closed her eyes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sister's form materialized from the void. Her fur was solid black and her clothes were colored differently, but she still looked just like Calana. In her hand was a sword that looked just like Silverstorm did when in the world of Darkness. "You cannot kill me, child. You can only put off the inevitable. You alone are not enough to defeat me. It would take much more then just you to defeat me." she hissed as she drew closer. Calana was about to respone, but another voice beat her to it. "You're wrong. She could kill you in her sleep." Calana looked over to see another wolfwoman that looked just like her, but this one's fur was bright white and her Silverstorm looked like it was made of white gold. "Kaltana!" Calana said in surprise. Kaltana nodded, "Sorry it took me so long. That Talrot has an incredibly powerful partition spell." Calana nodded. They both turned toward Sister and readied their blades. "So be it!" Sister hissed as she lifted her blade and charged.
Dogin and Joe bid good night to White and Jandri. Joe was far to big for any of the furniture, so with a sigh Joe found himself a cozy corner of the room. The floors creaked under his weight as Joe found his place on the floor, though not the ideal place to sleep both Joe and Dogin had slept in much worse places. Joe was asleep as soon he laid his head on the ground, his snoring filled the room almost instantly.
Dogin curled up by the hearth but try as he might sleep would not bless him tonight. So much had happend... Not but a month ago he was dead speaking with one of the five current great spirits. Now Dogin was back to avert a disaster only he and a few other even know about. Though Dogin knew what he had to do he never thought it would be like this... So much had changed... It seems like forever since that day in the dreary misty mountains of Dargath.
But despite all thats happened and all thats changed because of it... Nothing hurt or struck Dogin deeper than the fact that Calana was just a room away... and she had forgotten everything about him... The slight amount of sleep that came to Dogin was fleeting and filled with odd obscure visions.
The ring of steel was accompanied by cries and grunts. Three images of one entity, two fighting to suppress the third. "You can't kill me! You can only slow me down!" Sister shouted as she broke away and stumbled backwards. Calana and Kaltana slowly advanced, swords at the ready. Another flurry of combat began, movements so quick, they were difficult to see. Some were so fast, the ring of steel on steel was the only way to know the swing had indeed taken place.
Kaltana swung, but Sister side stepped before hitting her in the back with the her elbow. Sister immediately turned her attention to Calana. "Time for you to see how two on one is unfair." Sister grabbed her sword with both hands and, with a quick jerk, tore it into two pieces, two complete swords. A cruel smile spread across her face.
The sudden change in the odds threw Calana at first, but she was quickly on the defensive, blocking blow after blow. "How did she do that? Two swords from one? How is that possible?" she thought to herself, as she frantically blocked blow after blow, doing everything she could to stay calm.
When Jandri's eyes opened the next morning, they were wide and alert. No left over tiredness or weariness, just liveliness. She slowly moved her hand from the knife at her belt, where it had rested all night and stretched. Her eyes quickly scanned the room. The first rays of light were coming in through the window. White sat at the table, a small pack rested on the table in front of her. "You're up early, White." White didn't move, "I couldn't sleep. My mind was too restless." Jandri stood and moved over to the table to sit down. "You ready to go?" White smiled and nodded, more then ready." Jandri returned the smile and nod, though behind her calm facade, she was worried of what might happen. The first scents of breakfast drifted into the room from the kitchen where Zoola and Tornen were preparing the meal.
Dogin had been awake for a while now, but had decided to lay there for a few moments more. Dogin slowly got up first on all fours after stretching he stood upright and walked over to Joe who was still in a deep sleep. Dogin shook his head "Wake up ya big lug." Joes snoring was all the answer Dogin needed. After a few attempts to jar him awake with a few kicks Dogin gave up on that "Hey Joe... I think breakfast is ready..." The snoring instantly stopped as Joe half sat up "Eh wha? Who? Breakfast? Where?" Dogin shook his head slowly then turned to White and Jandri "Morning all." Joe sat up now against the wall which began to moan under his weight. "Aye... Morning... Now whats that I hear about Breakfast?" He yawned as he scratched his head with his gauntlet.
"Morning," White replied, "Breakfast will be ready in a little bit, Joe." Sure enough, Zoola and Tornen emerged from the kitchen with plates of food in tow, cheerfully humming along to the same tune. White pulled the pack down off the table into her lap. "Breakfast is served!" Zoola announced as she placed the food on the table. Tornen sat and began fixing his plate. Zoola fixed a plate for White and placed it in front of her before fixing her own. Jandri fixed her own plate, through she took very little. When Zoola finally sat down, White spoke up. "Zoola, Tornen... I want to thank you. For everything. You took me in in my hour of need, and I don't think I'll ever be able to repay you." Zoola and Tornen were both confused by the sudden thanks. Zoola spoke up, "You are very welcome Miss White. And the best way you could repay us is to spread the same kindness to the rest of the world." Then her eyes spotted the pack in White's lap. "So... you're leaving?" White nodded. Zoola's shoulders sank, "I wondered if this day would come." Tornen glanced around the table, "Well, lets not dwell on it! Let's eat and enjoy this wonderful meal together!"
Joe got up first and made a hefty plate "Ah nothing beats a warm homemade breakfast! Eat up while you can, chances are you'll be missing such food before long..." Dogin slowly stood up and slightly lessened the warp that held his jaw. Though he must have seemed rude Dogin couldn't risk removing his wraps around other Skrieves. Dogin had a moderate plate giving a compliment or two as he ate food would be plentiful enough in the wilds, but once they hit the shifting sands both food and water would become scare...
Breakfast went by quickly as the six of them ate and talked, but then the moment came when all of them had had all they wanted and all the dishes had been cleaned and put away. Zoola and Tornen had to leave to get to their school. When Zoola returned from the kitchen from taking the last load of dishes, she was carrying a small bag. "Here are a few things to keep you going." She said as she placed the bag in White's hands. White stood and hugged Zoola and then Tornen. "Thank you both, for all your kindness." They nodded. "If you ever come this way again, please come and see us." Zoola said. "Aye, that would be very nice." Tornen added. White nodded, "Of course. I would love to see the two of you again some day." Jandri, sensing their approaching departure, stood from up from the table. "Thank you for letting us stay in your home, Mr. and Mrs. Cornron." Tornen held up a hand, "It was no problem at all. I'm sorry that we have to eat and run, but we have to get on down to the school before the kids start showing up. It was a pleasure meeting all of you, and I wish you safety in your travels." Zoola and Tornen both bade the four goodbyes then stepped out the door. White gathered her things and hefted her pack onto her back, now laden with the bag of food as well. When she had all her things and was completely ready to go, she stood with her head turned toward Dogin, waiting. She was both excited and scared, and it showed as she nervously wrung her hand around her staff. Jandri stood beside her, all of her things were still ready since she hadn't unpacked anything the night before.
Both Dogin and Joe thanked the Cornrons. Dogin hefted his pack onto his back and Joe did the same for his rather large pack "Companions... The road before us is a long one, but she plays a sweet song. Let us answer her call and begin this adventure." Joe joined in "Aye!"
Dogin and Joe walked outside for a few paces, then both of them stopped and gazed down the street to lands far beyond. "We've got quite the destination before us eh Dogin?" Dogin kept his gaze on the horizon "Its nothing we haven't done before old friend..." Joe gave a chuckle "Aye. Travel the land and save the world... Just like old times." The two friends tightened there pack straps and readied themselves for the journey ahead.
Jandri and White followed them. White stopped in the doorway, and turned. The smells of the place were so familiar to her now, as were the feeling of the home. She sighed heavily as she gently closed the door. The two of them walked over to Joe and Dogin.
White smiled, "Today I plunge into the unknown and let it sweep me away to where ever it may take me."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Blow after blow rained down on her. She was barely able to block them they came so fast. Calana was being pushed back. Sister was pushing forward. Neither was going to quit. The three swords locked. Sister brought her face close to Calana's. "You are weak, Calana. You can't do anything. You couldn't save the one you loved, and you cannot defeat me!" Calana's rage began to grow. With a stiff shove, she pushed Sister backward, but she immediately began her attacks again and Calana was forced on the defensive. Her rage continued to grow. I am not weak! But Sister's attacks were getting closer and closer to hitting their mark. The rage began to melt into fear. But I wasn't able to save Dogin. One of Sister's blades cut the arm of Calana's robe.
Kaltana shook her head. As she came back to her senses, she saw what was happening and quickly got to her feet, sword in hand.
Sister and Calana broke away from each other. Then something clicked. Calana relaxed. All the fear... all the rage... it just melted away and left calmness. She smiled as she slid Silverstorm back into it's scabbard. Sister laughed, "Giving up?" Calana shook her head. "No. I have won. This fight is over." Sister began to laugh her evil laugh, "You are mistaken." She took both her blades and swung with all her might. They passed right through Calana without leaving a mark. Only her robe fluttered slightly. Sister's face contorted into a look of confusion.
Kaltana slid to a stop, looking on in awe. "What's going on?"
"What kind of magic is this?" Sister asked, anger returning to her face. Calana simply smiled. "It isn't magic. This is my mind. I control it." Sister growled, "No, you don't! I control it now!" Calana slowly shook her head, "No, you don't." She held up her hand, open, with her palm toward Sister. A powerful concussion blew Sister backwards. She landed on her back. "You don't control anything, Sister. Not anymore."

As the morning sun began to rise it basked more and more of the world beneath in its warm and gentle light. The crisp mountain air was filled with the scent of Autumn and as Dogin looked around he could in fact see the first leaves beginning to change colors... Indeed another summer had passed and as the new autumn breeze gentle stated winter was approaching. Dogin hoped it was a long autumn, for with the threat of Balthazan looming over Gorgraz Dogin felt that this could very well be the last winter anyone would see...
Though both of them where deep in thought about the distant roads ahead, both Dogin and Joe realized that although they where beginning a journey with all of Gorgraz at stake... Life around them went on as if there was little if anything wrong in the world. Children played in the street as mothers watched, fathers arose from there nightly slumbers to begin there day of work. Both Dogin and Joe knew that this is what they where protecting by going on this journey the peace and livelihoods of not only Zargon, but all of Gorgraz was perched upon the tip of a knife...
As the town they had left began to fade into the distance the destination ahead still looked no closer and though they knew it would be a long journey both Dogin and Joe where ready to lay everything on the line for the sake of Gorgraz!

White's eyes glistened. They were fiery and full of life, even though they didn't focus on anything they looked at. On the road, she didn't have to worry about stray branches and vines, so she let the bandage hang loosely around her neck. She was happy and excited. She only knew a small part of the world and was eager to know more of it, and maybe even find something to unlock her past. Jandri held back, taking up the rear of the group so that she could keep an eye on Dogin and Joe.
They had been walking for quite a while when White decided to strike up a conversation. "So you two have traveled all over Gorgraz? Have you seen all of it?"

Both Dogin and Joe looked at each other then to White Joe started off "Well I wouldn't say we've seen it all, but we have been across most of it." Dogin nodded his head "From the western shores to the rolling dunes of the eastern deserts and from the northern mountains of Dargath to the savage coast to the south and everywhere in between." Dogin looked down the road "Ive traveled these roads and landscapes for so long that many have started to blend together in my memories... But I can remember that day so long ago, before the wars, before the tough times, before I was twenty... The day me and Joe first set off on our journeys outside of Zargon." Joe chuckled "Ah don't make us seem like daff old fools yet Dogin! Weve been to many places and helped many people..." Dogin agreed "We have also seen and been many places that many people haven't such as the temple of the gods, the land of shadows..." Dogin gave a shudder as he remembered the place. "We have also been to the land of the Gods, and I for one have seen the realm of the spirits! We have also been to a secret city that was hidden away from the world. Its people have an ancient blood line, they have protected this world in century's past... The hidden city of the Creashin people Cornar, though I am sorry but I swore I would never reveal its location to another... Outsider..." Dogin searched Whites face for any sign that she was remembering anything about Cornar

White's pace slowed as her unfocused eyes became even more so. "Cornar..." she thought as her mind was filled with a great snowcapped mountain, "why does it seem so familiar?" Jandri's anger was hard to miss as she glared at the two Zargonians. "What a pack of lies. Cornar's just a myth, it doesn't exist." she said, shaking her head. White still couldn't shake the feeling of remembrance, "Tell me more about this city... if you don't mind, that is." Jandri's glare shifted to White, "What are they doing? Didn't he hear me? Reminding her could kill her!" she thought.

Both Dogin and Joe took great offense at being called lier's. "Just because something is a myth, or just because something is a legend does not mean it doesn't exist. Why both Joe and myself are legends in Zargon, but to many others we are but a myth or fanciful story." Joe nodded his head "Aye we've seen many things said to not exists or that where said to be legnedary... Not all of these things deserved the story's behind there existence, but they existed none the less."
Dogin looked to White "I'm afraid I cant speak to much more of the "Mythic" city of Cornar. Except to say that it was a wondrous place filled with good people all with an ancient and historic blood line." Dogin looked to the road ahead and beyond knowing that what they where seeking was also a myth.

Jandri shook her head and pulled out her lute. She began slowly plucking the strings, her eyes never leaving the two men. "I can't let them do it. Not yet..." Her anger melted slightly as she realized what she was doing. She was stopping her niece from getting her memory back, from become who she was. But it had to be done, or she could die. "But do the ends truly justify the means?"
As White thought about about the mysterious city, her eyes scanned the forest around them, though they didn't focus. They seemed to see beyond what was there. A cool burst of wind blew around them, tugging at their cloaks. The temperature was starting to fall and the warmth of the sunlight was disappearing. Even without her eyes, White could tell it was getting dark. The group kept on moving, though, until the air was filled with night time chill and they finally stopped and made camp. Soon they all sat around a small camp fire, eating.
Jandri's anger had cooled significantly. "I guess we'll head south out of Zargon? Follow the edge of the desert and cross it closer to this mountain?" she asked.

Terrag had been sitting on the branch of a tree, just a bit off the road, for most of the day. He had seen the group coming a long way off, and wonder what they were doing. "well only one way to find out, Terrag thought to himself putting on his hat and jumping down from the tree, "well I hope that this will be uneventful". Terrag walked a closer to the group raising his arms away from his weapons, showing that he meant no harm.

Dogin looked over Jandri as she talked about the path she expected them to take. Dogin sat for a moment thinking as he glanced at her... he could see a small resemblance in her to Calana, but it was only the slightest features, such as the curves of the jaw and the ridge of the brow. Dogin dismissed the thought for now as he answered.
"Nah, Joe and myself know a few shortcuts and have a few connections. We will head south to the next village then out of Zargon, then we will follow the mountain until just after Sun Vally peak. You'll like it there, the Vally's probably the last patch of green we will see in a while. Then we will cross over the peak into the desert which should put us by a Flari (right?) camp. From there we can borrow a sandskif to ride until we reach the mountain... Should be easy enough."
"But Dogin wasn't Sun Vally peak the home of that warren of goblins?" Dogin raised an eyebrow in thought "No, that was that mountain in the southern swamplands if I remember right... Sun Vally is home to a few elves and some very prominent forest elementals. There harmless to us, though now that I think about it the peak was home to more than a few ice elementals... I think we will be fine though."
It was after Dogin stated this that the stranger approached the camp ground. Though this was Zargon it was not totally uncommon to see a human every once in awhile. Joe quickly gave a glance to Dogin, but Dogin gave no sign of action. As Dogin gazed at the stranger he could feel a timeless air about him.
"Welcome stranger. We don't get to many humans this far into Zargon. Its a pleasure to meet you, They call me Dogin..."
(Didn't know where to go, so whatever...)

Jandri's head shot around at the acknowledgement of the stranger. She eyed him with suspicion. White sat still as a statue. Only her ears turned toward the stranger. She hadn't noticed him until Dogin spoke to him. White could feel odd energies in the air... there was something unnatural about the stranger. She rested her hands on her sword with laid across her lap.

"these are the ones that the spirits are pulling me to. There is no mistaking it. There had not been anyone on this part of the road for at least three days." Terrag thought to himself. "I am Terrag, with a bow, "I have seen many things, but I have only heard of the travels of Dogan and Joe. I hope that these are not mean fantasy made up by the local bar rats, but by the looks of you these seem to have gotten some facts rights. "I cannot say if this meeting was fated or not, but should you seek danger and adventure I welcome you to join us... But a warning. Our travels will take us far beyond civilized lands." Joe glanced around "And theres no telling how long we will be blessed with fair skys and safe roads..." Dogin looked to the sky ad his friend mentioned this.

"Well my friend I have all time in the world, and It would seem like your hearts are true. I would rather enjoy having a few friends to fight the evils of this world with. Do not worry about me, I have seen things that are out of this world. I have also seen things of this world that would make a Minotaur run for it mother. I hope that I will not be a burden on your group."

White turned around so not to appear rude by keeping her back to Terrag. Her eyes locked on him, but they did not focus... at first. "What... how..." she thought as looked at a faint image, almost like a ghost of the man, and she was seeing it with her eyes. Her ears confirmed that it was the newcomer she was seeing... or that there was some kind of spirit occupying the same space as him. "What is this?" she asked herself. Her eyes locked with the ghostly eyes. She saw pain... great pain... very old pain.
Jandri turned to Dogin when he welcomed Terrag to join them with a raised eyebrow. "You're a bit quick to trust people you've only just met... A little reckless, considering your mission."
