"Oh, I could find a way to make you die, son of darkness. And if I could not kill you, I could make your life tenfold times more painful than your life is now." The Kalorian hissed, "Tempt me." His hand edged to his massive broadsword. "And see what happens."

"I would like to see you try and kill me. I wouldnt play with death, but if you insist", Terrag said while taking death out of its sheath. With life and death in hand; Terrag started toward the man. until a faint rumbling could be heard. Terrag stopped in his tracks, listening. It was coming closer and closer until the first goblin decided to stick his head around a bend in the cave. "we will have to finish this some other time. Shall we deal with this other annoyance? Elf you with me?"

Terrags words were slightly late. As his last word was still being formed an arrow whistled into the goblin's skull. As many more pored around the corner, Tam grabbed a crystal and sent a wall of fire sweeping down the tunnel- incinerating anything in its way. He knew now that the gods were playing with him again. He drew his blue and red blades, wanting to release some anger. Unfortunately for them, the goblins happened to be the readiest thing at hand.

The large Kalorian stood in amidst the chaos, and instead of drawing his broadsword, he withdrew a large battered looking tome from his cloak, it seemed to open of its own accord to a paged, chanting in Old Kalorian the man released a wave of fiery holy energy from his hand, incenerating a handful of goblins. "In Palador's name you will be vanquished!"

Terrag jumped in the middle of a group of goblins. Life and death worked in complete unison. till the group was decimated. More and more goblins pored into the cave. This battle was going to be interesting.

The goblins had been stirred by the loud noises coming from the mouth of the cave, now they had there numbers awakened from there slumbers in the deep recesses of the cave. The Goblins enraged by there fallen brethren rallied together to kill these intruders, with there numbers they quickly surrounded a pale human man garbed in black thus putting the man in the center of a ring of swords, they took turns lashing out with there carved rock swords slicing at his legs, waist, and sides when he was facing away from them.
Other goblins where working there way for the entrance attempting to overrun the elf and to overwhelm the other man at the very entrance to the cave.

((ooc: ^ explanation of above please? )) There is nothing more dangerous than wrath of an elf with nothing to lose. Anything that came within the reach of Tam's blade died. He moved back and forth through the mobs - letting himself be carried by the flow of the battle. He knew that eventually they would overwhelm him with shear numbers, but he knew no other way to take care of it. He glanced about trying to find a solution and noticed Terrag's predicament. Undead or not, be killed by goblins is a horrible end. Especially by trickery. Tam sprinted forward, killing goblins within reach by instinct more than conscious thought. He jumped when he got to the outer edge of the circle throwing his dirk into the throat of one goblin as he did so. Using his momentum, he threw himself into a flip and land on his feet behind the undead with his boot dirk already in hand. "Back to back!!!!!!" he screamed to Terrag above the battle and turned in one fluid movement to stab a goblin and begin the daunting task of protecting his temporary ally's back.

"O.K. elf looks like we got ourselves in a tight spot. How do you feel about cutting a path to the Kalorian, and then making our way to the mouth of this hell whole.", Terrag asked while driving life into a goblins heart as it lounged toward the elf.

((Who said we weren't getting hurt? Tam is actually covered in minor cuts - he just cant feel them through the adrenaline))
Tam knew that if he was hamstrung it was all over. "TAKE THE LOWS!!!" he yelled. He jumped into a spin, his weapons forming a deadly spiral into which those that jumped would fly. He only hoped that Terrag had already ducked and wasn't about to be minced as well.

Terrag dropped to the ground throwing stars flying. Three goblins hit the ground dead. the fourth got through. Terrag reached up to grab the goblin's crude weapon. Stopping it in mid air. the crude blade was only sharp enough to brake the skin causing blood to ooze up. With a smile Terrag threw the weapon from the goblins hands. The last thing the goblin would see was Terrag's bloody hand over his face.

Still chanting, holy fire still burning, the Kalorian looked as serene as a nun at prayer, if by chance a goblin got close it was quickly met with a swift thrust of his massive blade. "What incited this attack," He wondered to himself. "We've killed enough to force a rout by all conventional wisdom, something else is drving them forward." He easily gutted another goblin. By now his sword was slick with goblin ichor and his arm aching from the huge tome he held.

A loud roar came from the dark confines of the deep caverns as large footsteps could be heard rumbling the ground as the being came closer. The goblins stoped there attacks for a moment looking back from where they had came, there eyes where wide with fear as the shook in there place. The goblins turned to the mouth of the cave and began to run in a blind panic, for they would rather try and get around the stead fast paladin than face the wrath of the creature to come.

Tam ran across the cave, grabbing up his dirk and his bow. He was only too aware of what creatures lurked down below. "I know that I'm not all that concerned about living, but perhaps we could get the heck out of here now?" He sheathed his blades and nocked and arrow without pulling the string back. "In my experience creatures that make noises like that and can scare away hordes of goblins are not exactly beneficial to our health."

"Dang it," Terrag thought to himself while picking up his swords following the elf's lead. This thing was getting close, too close for any being not to fear what might happen.

The Paladin stepped in front of the pair, "Get behind me...you too, infidel." He flxed his massive arms, tossing the tome up in the arm and spinning his sword madly, "You can be assured there are few things on all of Gorgraz that can defeat me." He turned to the approaching creature. "I AM GULIO THE REDEEMER, ONE OF THE TWEVLE PALADINS OF JAYMES THE CRIPPLE, SERVENT OF THE ALMIGHTY PALADOR AND DEFENDER OF LIGHT! YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"

From deep within the cave a mighty Carklin approached the three pieces of meat (A Carklin is a half bear half ape with an apes body structure, but the features of a bear like its head and fur. It has a waxy coating matted on its fur that helps protect it from physical attacks and it is rumored that if you look a Carklin in the eyes within close quarters it can paralyze you with fear... few that have met a Carklin have ever survived.) The beast slowly walked forward with its eyes intent on the three intruders growling as it came forward. The Carklin started to pound the ground and make strange high pitched noises that racked the brain an hurt the ears... The Carklin was on the hunt.

((hurts the ears? .....that's just evil when theres an elf in the post...they have sensitive hearing... )) Tam shuddered with pain as the monster screeched. That "paladin" must be insane to take on something like that.... it wasn't like he had anything to prove... Tam reluctantly stepped up to Gulio's side. "I've been looking for something that would kill me. Sounds like today is my day. I stand beside you, Kalorian." Tam drew back his bow and loosed an arrow at the creature's eye. Another entered the air headed for the other eye before the first one made contact.

The Carklin had long since saw the strategy coming and although it is big it is also quick it stepped back to give it time enough to draw up its arm to catch the two arrows. The Carklin growled as it looked at the arrows lodged in its arm then it got mad... really mad. The Carklin reared back and gave a mighty screech that would pierce the heart of the noblest of men, as the Carklin did this it started to charged at the elf.

Gulio chanted a new incantation sending a bolt of energy shaped like a fist at the charging Carklin, "Have at thee, beast!" He shouted as he watched his holy energy near his opponet.

Tam threw his dirk at the creature's eye, knowing that the thing wouldn't be able to stop his momentum in time to block the weapon. Then he dived to the side into a roll and came to his feet with his other dirk in hand out of the way of the creatures path.

The Carklin thrusted his taloned hand forward into the bolting fist. It smashed against the beasts arm crushing its hand as the Carklin kept its charge the dirk slammed into its eye, but instead of slowing the beast all this did was enrage it even more. Indeed, the bests speed actually increased as it barreled at the intruders the elf had jumped away but the tall one stood right in the mighty beasts way. The Carklin slammed into the knight driving its good hand against the side of the knight... The resulting impact sent both man and beast sprawling out of the cave and snowballing down the mountains slope.

Terrag was out into snow in a instant. His wings were out and he was descending down the mountain. Closer...closer.. Terrag could see the body's rolling down the mountain. Terrag grab at the only piece of armor he could see, The Kalorian's boot. With all his might Terrag pulled; till the Kalorian came free of the tangled mess that was the carklin.

Gulio almost back handed Terrag, as he felt his cold unnatural hands wrap around his boot, instead, he hopped to his feet retrieving his tome and sword and tore into the Carklin with a vengence, sword swinging and hacking, its blade wreathed in golden flame.
