Lying destroys the soul, Kills the heart, close off the ears of those willing to listen. What place does it have in our world today. It should have none, but because of the imperfection of mankind we have incorporated it into every aspect of life. From the lowest form of scum that inhabits the sewer, to the highest form of power the united states government. Lying is not worth what we as a society looses, or what we as the individual gives up. The movie was great, I had never seen things of this nature of the Television before, they were saying things I had never heard. As a eleven year old, I was well versed in all forms of speech, so I was astonished at this new form of communication. “Garrett Scott, what did is on that television?”, my father had just walked into the room. “nothing dad, I was flipping through, I did not know what it was,” I managed to stammer out as I changed the channel. I was home free, or so I had thought. “Son, because you have always been honest and trust worthy with me, I will believe you.” That was it the one thing that could destroy the Monstrous walls I had put up in the space of a small time. The damage had been done. My mind was over analyzing everything. If dad had known he would have busted me. Wait what is he is testing me. I had started to sweat, my palms were felt as though they had just gotten out of the pool. I had begun a dance of death with myself. The fire had been lit around me. The crowd was cheering. “We who are about to die, Solute you.” the solute of the roman gladiator before the great caesar. The battle over the holy land the muslims reclaiming what was theirs, while the Christians are fighting for there god. Eternal conflicts coming to the surface. The thought of your a bad son hit me like a dagger to the back, while your git into trouble kidney shot me. you do not deserver the name of Bradshaw hit my like a double plated glove to the side of my head, knocking me to the ground. The words betrayer of trust got me in the choke hold that would render me into submission. With the tears of remorse I ran to my mother and father’s room, and knocked on the door. “come in” was the words that would lead me to my doom. I cracked open the door and edged my way in. “what is wrong son? Is there something you want to tell me?” at that moment I broke free of all restraints, I ran to my father tears flowing freely, “I am sorry dad. Im so sorry. I am a bad son, I do not deserve to be in this family.” A solemn look came over my dads face, There is one thing that had always be taught to my sister and I, and that was to not lie no matter what the reason. “Son now why did you lie to me, you know what we expect you. Do you know what you have done?” With tears still in my eyes I said,”yes”. “son you know that I had complete trust in you. That I never thought you would have tied to me, after all the talks we had had about why not to lie and what comes of it. You know that by lying you have betrayed my trust, and that is something that is worth more than money. Even though you have I want you to know that I still love, and that I will always love you.” With that he gave me a hug and told me to go to bed, and that we would talk about my punishment in the morning. I turned to walk out of the room, As I opened the door the leave my father said one last time, “I love you son,”. I turned around and said, “I love you to dad. goodnight” As I went to my room that night, I was sad because I had lost something I had valued most of all, beside my fathers love, his trust is so important to me. That trust that I had lost would be one of the hardest things to get back, but at least it had not been lost to the black whole that is the world, unlike when you through away a doll, or a teddy bear that kept you safe at night that had always been vigilant. I could gain the trust back through years of work, even though the love was there I wanted the trust, and when I finally earn it back, I am not going to ever loose it again. Loosing that trust was not worth not getting in trouble, even though my trouble had been severe. Lying is not worth what I had to trade. I figured that out the hard way, Like I do with most things.

essay 1.1 The reason some one would want to take the class human growth and development, even though it would not be required for there degree, would be for one reason that it will help them understand there children if they ever choose to have one. another reason someone would want to take this glass is so they could come to better terms with themselves. They would have a better understanding. “we can not help others unless we understand ourselves”-cant remember who said that but it wasn't me.
Essay 2.2 even thought I as a rule to my self to not concern my self with most personal choices of people and how they live there lives, as long as it isn't hurting anyone. Though on one side I could say that it is a very unhealthy, germ filled, environment. which would lead me into the conclusion that is should be in a hospital that is accurately stocked to handle those types of situations. on the other had hospitals are a place that cost a lot of money and people in this country do not have the insurance to help with the burden of paying for the place, while throughout our history babies have been born just about anywhere. and well we are still around so I would assume it is a acceptable alternative.
Essay 3.2 I do not think that it is bad or good idea. For the fact that I am nor a parent or someone who has done research on the subject. for some children it is probably a very good Idea to go ahead and get them into a learning environment. This could help stimulate the learning process, while giving the child a does of self confidence. though on the other hand, a child might not be able to handle the time without a parent, which could have a negative response the environment, hindering the learning process. All in all a parent need to asses there child a determine what they think is best for there child. there is no blanket statement on child because children are different. Essay 4.2 I would encourage a child language grow by letting the child watch old cartoons, where there did not talk down to child, like is see happening on more of todays kid shows. also I would to talk down to the child, even though it is probably not the right way to do it I would so talk normal to the child no matter what the age so the child can learn and understand how people of the adult world talk. Also child learn by watching there environment, so you take a child to sit around older people. so the child will feel inferior and learn the be better. which is from the social conflict approach.

A firm handshake, a look in the eye, while standing up strait. these are wha some peaple concider to be a good greating. while A hi five on the first meeting is concedered to show a sign of disrespect. To some that is jsut the way they were tough while others were tought proper etticut, Which is why the First Inpresion can often be the best and worst inpression to judge a person on. Take the first time I met my best friends mom, I has High on benidril. I had taken the recomended dose, but it had had the wierdest of effect on me. I was happy, sad, crying, throwing up, and stumbling around all at the same time. So the firt time that she met me I was crawling to her bathroom, becouse i couldnt walk, to ttry to make it on time to throw up. Seeing that as you walk through the door ot your house it probly not a good thing to see. though if she had judged me on that night alone we might not be as good friends as we are today. The first time my roomate met me i was a freshman in highschool, he was a jonoir. Let me be the first to tell say that I was not the best of peaple to meet that year. I was a short freshaman that thought i knew everything. Well after that year i would acome to know that i did not, of course that is after the road of hard nocks. It was the first day of band camp when i met him, of course i didnt really meet him, untill the lunch when i sat at the table he was at.of course that was someone elses seat, they had just gotten up to go get a drink, but dd I care. I was hot tird and hungry and i was not goingto give up my seat. well one thing led to anothre and i had some choice words to say so to each and everyone at that table, incluing my roomate. lucky for me though the y had all been through there freshamn year of band camp, and knew what i was going through. by the end ofthe week the band of over 180 peaple had murged into a family, but had they judge any of the freshaman on there first exspirance that would have never been possible. even though it may not be the best judging someone on your first impression can be right. picture a girl who wairs all black, who lives in a shak. with dark circles under her eyes. her hair is long and brown, which has many split ends. Her nails are unkept, her jeans are dirty. Most peaple would think that she comes from a poor house. well in the case of the girl I just described that would be a fact. Lets call her Alana, so that you may never know of her true embaresment. I do not believe that she would want her true name revieled. When thinking of poorer class you think that she will becoume pregnate at a yound age and that she will proubly never escape her situation.you would also assume that her perants are devorced, and taht her dad is proubly abusive. you would think that she is proubly using drugs to cope with her proublems, and jsut like everything else you have assumed you would e correct. though it is sad at least you got something right, not that you watned to in the first place. not that you, on your high and mighty pedistul, are going to do anything about it. for she is just another girl, another stitistic who will be gone as you round the next corner. another story to tell your friends at the salon as you all giggle a laugh sayingm “how sad, someone should help that grl.” but like all the other times you have said these things and though these thoughs you will just brush them aside saign it is not your proublem, It is not for you to decide what her fate is, you are not god. Sometimes the first impression is the best way to judge somebody, but not always. and who are we to judge someone else, for those who judge shall be judged in haven. doesnt everyone deserve a secound chance, even every Great god in history has given his or hers peaple a secound chance to redeime themselves. so cant we as humans wait to give or judgement out to peaple, at least that mutch.

A firm handshake, a look in the eye, while standing up strait, these are what some people consider to be a good greeting. While a hi five on the first meeting is considered to show a sign of disrespect. To some that is just the way they were taught while others were taught proper etiquette. The First Impression can often be the worst impression to judge a person on because of the situation, mindset, or culture that a person is in. Outside forces that people cannot control have a effect. If someone is having a bad day, then that person might be a little rude to you. What if a person is sick? If they throw up on a person they are meeting for the first time that person will remember that they threw up on them. Take the first time I met my best friends mom, I was at his house, and high on Benadryl. I had taken the recommended dose, but it had had the weirdest of effects on me. I was happy, sad, crying, throwing up, and stumbling around all at the same time. So the first time that she met me I was crawling to her bathroom, because I couldn't walk, to try to make it on time to throw up. Seeing that as she walk through the door to her house is probably not a good thing to see, not to mention the countless this I had knocked over in my stumbling stupor. if she had judged me on that night alone she would have probably thought of me a pill popper that would be a bad influence on her son. Though through getting to know me better each time I would come over to her house she learned otherwise. The mindset of a person can have a huge impact on how they interact with other people. If they are concentrating on something else a person might think that the other person is ignoring them. When actually the fact is they did not even know they were there. Take the first time I met my roommate, I was a freshman in high-school, he was a Jr. Let me be the first to tell say that I was not the best of people to meet that year. I was a freshman that thought I knew everything, like so many of my kind. Well after that year I would come to know that I did not, of course that knowledge came after a long road of hard nocks. It was the first day of band camp when I met him, of course I didn't really meet him, until the lunch when I sat at the table he was at, of course that was someone else's seat, they had just gotten up to go get a drink, but did not I care. By the end of the week the band of over 180 people had merged into a family, but had they judge any of the freshman on there first experience that would have never been possible. Since the freshman are winey, spoiled, stupid freshmen. Though by the end of the year with some help from some of my friend, My mindset would change and I would become a better person for it. Differences in culture has lead to many problems for humans. That difference has gotten many things misinterpreted over the years. From a single small jester, such as looking in the eyes. Which people believe to be a sign of respect. While other people believe that it is a sign of disrespect. Some cultures kiss on the cheek while others avoid physical contact altogether. I have two friends who are poler opposites when it comes to how they show that they like someone. Friend A was raised in a family where they hugged all the time. While friend B was raised in a family that did not hug at all. The first time that these friends met Friend A almost got a black eye, Because friend B was so taken aback by the act of hugging that he did not know what to think. Though after that the boundaries were set and everyone was fine. Sometimes the first impression is the best way to judge somebody, but not always. How can we take one instant in someone's life and explain everything we need to know about them. How can from this one instant we know there culture, there mind set, or there situation. Who are we to judge someone else, for those who judge shall be judged in haven. doesn't everyone deserve a second chance, even Great gods of history has given his or hers people a second chance to redeem themselves, If these perfect beings can find it in them, why cant we?

Before and After The thoughts of high school fresh on my young mind I stepped into the real world of collage. Well the real world as I had been told from my early years of school. The professors would be near god like beings. Students who would have a infinite thirst for knowledge. The classes would be without fail perfect. Since I have been in collage my opinion of the professors, the students, and the classes have changed. Though out my years as a student I had been upholding the vision of the typical professor, though my vision is anything but typical. I envision a person who, apart from being perfect, is a guru of every aspect of life. Their wisdom would flow from them like the rays of the sun, giving life to each and every student. Though in my experience in collage has shattered that vision of a perfect collage. The professors here could not live up to my high, god like expectations. To no fault of there own they had let me down. the professors are human, just like everyone else in the world. Some of the professors have lived up to part of my vision of perfection. While letting me down in other parts. Some of the professors try to spread there wisdom, but fail in there valiant attempt . While others do not care one way or the other. Like in everything in the world, there is good and bad, I would just have to except that in my vision of the typical professor. The students are what makes up the school. When thinking of a school with tyler junior collage reputation for being a school of excellent two year school, that provides a quality education. I would think that with such a excellent reputation that the students would reflect that reputation. That the students would have a underlying thirst for knowledge. A reverent respect for the sacred halls of learning. Though in my experience here I have come to see the opposite. The students here have shown me a complete lack of respect for anything, or anyone. From the blatant disrespect of the campus, from graffiti to there general attitude toward the other people on campus. Most of the students I have met, on this campus, are here for only a few things, and none of those are to learn and better ones self. which I will say is a disappointment to what my opinion of a what a student should be like. The classes at collage are were in my mind were going to be useful in my everyday life, and future. though some of my classes have proven to be pointless, If not on the verge of stupid. Though I shall not name any classes due to the fact that I will not be responsible for giving a professor a bad review, which could lead to a loss of job. Collage is a tool in which to prepare you for life, And high school is a tool to prepare you for collage. Though I would have to say that the tool of high school had failed at that. My opinion of collage was twisted into thinking that it was something that it was not. Though through experiencing first hand of what collage is like, I learned what professors, students, and classes are really like. That they are nothing like what I had expected.

The blatant disrespect of the campus grounds, and students has shown me that there is no respect from the students. From the graffiti to the general attitude toward the other people on campus have shown me that lack of respect that is present on this campus. Take a psych class, I can tell you everything you need to know in one sentence. It is the white males fault. I do not see how that sentence is worth two days a week for a semester, or the money that it cost to attend the class. College is a tool which prepare you for life, and high school is a tool to prepare you for college. I would have to say that the tool of high school had failed at that. I figured that out the hard way, Like I do with most things.

essay 9 community service is a wonderful thing. volunteering in soup kitchens, to picking up trash along side the road is nobel. except when it is forced on people by that state, to pay for tickets. though people are most likely not a nobel as the others who volunteer. Though if you make people do community service there goes the nobility, and kindness of it. If you make it a collage requirement there goes what community serves represents. Community service is for volunteers. There is a attitude that goes with the a volunteers, is someone who will do there best because that is what they want to do. It is what makes them feel good inside. That good feeling will radiate to others and inspire others. Though When you force someone to do something the attitude is different. It is one of disdain, annoyance, and all around apathy. Apathy is something that can kill the mood of a place. It is the one bad apple that can ruin the whole bunch. when you are dealing with community service, things need to have a certain way about the act for it to be successful. Also you pay to go to collage. i would not want to pay to go work for people or things that dont pay. that I can go do on my own for free. community service should also be a personal thing for you, not for others to see so they can tell you weather you get a degree or not. I would not want my degree to depend on weather or not some idiot in a desk tells me that i have to do community service to make the school look good.

essay 10
This class has been a lot of ups and downs. The bad thing about being in a english class is the fact that I do not like english classes in any way shape and or form. More of I do not like a english class that is about composition. I can read you book after book, and tell you about every literary merit that is has. Though writing on the other hand has a got to be one of my biggest weakness. That weakness is because of my dysgraphia, which is a developmental disability which effects the person’s ability to write. Though this is just another hump on the way to a grade, I am hoping that my dislike for english as a class will not hinder my ability to evaluate your class. Your class has been a interesting ride to say the least. From the being worried all weekend about my first paper grade, to worrying about making a good grade on the final. Which I do hope you grade a little “nice” on. please please please. Well I guess begging will not help me. studying will though. The good things about the class, was you being lenient with your grading, your understanding of how our lives as students, people work. Without you working with us, and around our schedules is a very nice thing you have done. I am glad that there are only ten journals instead of twenty. The being let out early most of the time, was very nice. It helped the make the class not drag on. which when dealing with students can make a class or brake it . now there are some complaints. A few things have seemed a little bit rushed. Like you spent to much time on some things, and not enough on others. besides that though I do not have really any complaints. Thank you for being a Such a wonderful person, and taking the time to teach young students.

essay 12.2 one leisure activity I enjoy is playing world of warcraft, It is a online massively multiplayer role playing game. I get to feel apart of something, because I work with others to obtain certain goals. A second activity would be when the guys and I gather to play magic, at my house. We don’t really care about the game, we just enjoy talking and it is something to do while we talk.
Essay 13.2 I would join a mentorship program, or something of that nature. that way I could show, and or help someone grow up. Hopefully I would have a impact on the lives. I would hopefully lead by my example, If I show and lead a life that is good, hopefully someone will pick up on it and pay attention, You never know who is watching, by showing a good example you could have repercussions that you will not even dream of.
Essay 14.1 My uncle steven has had one of the biggest impacts on my life, For one he is the one who introduced me to Star Wars. Which has lead me to many, many now hobbies and such. that go along with being a Fan boy. He is also the one in the family who is the actor. He lead me to have some of my most enjoyable times in the theater. He is right now in New York trying to make it there, Showing me that I should not be afraid to try.

Journal 2 To find work in tyler Texas is one of the hardest things I have every tried to do. You have to take in the fact that the location of everything around, not to even talk about the economy. The american dream is to get a good job, get a house, a car, and live happily ever after. Though with the economy and the location of tyler that dream is almost impossible. With the economy in a shattered state that it is in, many places have been forced to lay off many workers who have been there for years. That adds many qualified workers thrown into the unemployment. Tyler is the major town surrounded by many small towns with teenagers trying to get jobs. Not to say two major Junior collages, Which bring in a huge amount of collage kids needing a job. there are like one hundred people applying for one job, everywhere you go. The chances of them liking you are not at all good. And even if they do like you, you might not be able to work with there hours because of school and such. A friend of mine has tried to get a job around here, he was laid off this summer, along with 3 other crews from his job, Each crew consisted of about six to eight people. So in all about twenty one people lost there job on the same day. Those are people who have degrees. Who Have families, a wife, kids. people who have bills to pay, but now cant because they lost there job and cannot find one because they are over qualified or there are just to many people.

college kids these days know that underage drinking and driving is not only immoral, and wrong, So they stay awake from the driving because they know it can get them killed, So why o they do this binge drinking. Some say it is to fit in, While others say it helped the socialize. well what can we do to counter these types of attitudes in the youth of today. I do not know why collage kids chose to drink at all, or binge drink. or even think that it is a social thing. I can only speculate that the liquid courage helps some people say what they want to say when they want to say it, though that can be a very bad thing, especially when they shove there foot down there sternum. Though drinking has become a excuse to act a fool, sleep with people you do not even know, Some also think that drinking makes them look cool. For reasons I do not know why, Though of course I think going to cosplay, and playing World of Warcraft is cool. I am thinking that I am not the best of judges for that one. I do not know how to how to counter act drinking, Humans as a race are despicable, dirty, of idiots. Who are bent on self destruction. We have been finding many ways to kill each other off for years. We started with our fist and have gone through rocks to sharpened rock, to projectiles, to nuclear. more and more ways to kill each other. If we cannot find a way to stop that, how can we find a way to stop our other destructive behaviors?

Sunday morning at my house normally results in a argument or two, because I wanted to sleep in, and then when I finally up, I would want to just throw on a T-shirt and some confutable jeans, not comb my hair and run out the door. My parents believe that when you go to church you must look your best, be your best, and be awake. I will agree with them on being awake. Every sunday may dad picks out his best suit and tie. Combs his hair to the side. Mom puts on her best dress as does my little sister. They are always there every sunday early, bright eyed and waiting for service to begin My look that I would be going for would be the blue jeans, a black hooded jacket. My eyes would not be bright, in fact I would still have sleep in them.I am ok with them dressing up and I can see how that is what they want to do. But I hate dressing up. It is not me. never has been never will be. I do not think that god cares what I have on or do not have on. but then again it is a personal thing, and they do what they want, and I will do what I want

Journal 5 No good deed goes unpunished. The road to war is paved with the bodies on many people who did good deeds. What is good is what the winner says it is. Take john wilks booth for example, The man who shot president Linken. Most would have considered him to be a evil man, with nothing but hatred in his heart. Though had the south won the revolutionary war, He might have been labeled a War hero, He might not have, but that would is something for historians to argue over. Though because the north won the war, John was labeled a murder, the scourge of the south for killing the Good president. In the musical wicked they show you a different side of the “wicked” witch of the west. The act of good is always a act of perception. To some good is bad, and bad is good. It just depends on how or who is perceiving it. Hitler was a good man to some, though the world perceived him as being evil. and thankfully he was brought down by the rest of the world. It only takes one person with a pitchfork to start a mob. One Person to throw a rock at a police officer and start a riot. One person to push the button that drops a bomb killing hundred of millions of people. To some they are evil to other they are not. It is all about how they are perceived. the little boy who saw you help a older woman after she dropped her groceries will watch and learn. what people perceive will have ripple effects throughout the world that they will never know of. The good deed that is being punished my not be good to some, and will be punished by them.

The perfect strait A student at a high school, is caught cheating. Many questions come to mind. How long has she been cheating? Why would she cheat, she had it all? Though some people are like, It is high school. does not matter. It is different when it happens in college. Collage is where young mind go to get a education to build the rest of there lives on. But why would someone gamble there life away by cheating on a exam. Some people would say that is a factor of how much stress a person is on. To some people college is a way to blow there parents money because there parents told them that they were going to collage. For many of us college people this is our one shot at something better then working in fast food the rest of our lives. We are the people who work two jobs to pay for college while taking a full load. Some people have kids, while others have to provide just for themselves. With only so many hours during the day someone is bound to crack to the stress. some handle it better then others. some will slip into depression while, others will take it in stride. then there are those who turn to cheating to try to make it. the effect of cheating on these exams are shown when they get into the work force. most of my collage classes I need to be well versed in all aspect of them so I will be able to do my job effectively. My job will depend on my knowledge, and if my knowledge is not enough people might die. If I cause people to die, then I will not be doing my job. Though when people cheat they cheat not only themselves out of a class, but others maybe out of a program. My grades will determine weather or not I make it into a program, but if someone cheats and makes excellent grades and beats me out then no program for me.

Eveline and Charles
As humans, we know that there is a difference in the views of sex. Males and Females are different, yet at the same time the same. Just like the Eveline, In the short story “Eveline”, And Charles, in the short story “Truth or Consequences”. I am going to show you how these two people are alike and different through the way they handle there situations, there inner truth, and there constant dependancy on other people. You put five people in the same situation, you will most likely get five different ways to handle the situation. Both Charles and Eveline handle there situations, in general, the same way. They are both doing what someone else has told them, or requested for them to do. There differences become in the why they are handling it the way they are. They both do what they are told without question or fail, and are trying to make the best of the situation. Though Eveline is in hers because of a death bed request. Charles on the other hand is in his because it is what he has been groomed to do. These two people, Eveline and Charles, have some things hidden away from them that we as the reader get to know. Take Eveline, she has the toughness of anyone I know, from taking the emotional abuse of not really having anyone around who cares for her, to the verbal abuse about how her father implies, that she is stupid, and not able to be trusted with money. Then we have good old Charles. He in general is a gem hidden from anyone. His mother has hidden him away from the world. Whether right or wrong, because of her wanting him to be a good little priest. He does not know that he has the power to think on his own. or to even make a small choice. Because every time he had a opportunity when he was younger his mother always did it for him. “mother had always wanted me to be a priest, especially after dad died.” (Gill, 2) These two people are both very dependent people, to the point where they are controlled by those people they depend on. Take Eveline she depends on her family, Like most of us do, to show her the life she is to lead. Though It was her mother who asked her to watch out for her father on her death bed. A death bed wish is something that we take very seriously, though then she is controlled by her father, Having to give up her wages to her family because her father was a drunk who wasted it all on beer. “She always gave her entire wages-seven shillings-and Harry (her brother) sent up what he could, the trouble was getting any money from her father” (Joyce,10) Then when she finally tryes to get out she has to depend on Frank. “she stood up with a sudden impulse of terror. Escape! She must escape! Frank would save her. He would give her life, perhaps love to. But she wanted to live.”(Joyce, 11) Without frank she would have just stayed in her life, never thinking she might could get out, never relying on herself, always others, Like frank. Though charles is the same way, has depended on his mom his whole life, Though not really having a choice. His mother made him this way, but even when he finally decides to brake away from her, he has to have his hand held. These seemingly different characters, who in fact are different in many different ways, including age, sex, even time placement. Though they are similar, if not the same, in some aspect of there lives. Which makes the stories timeless. From the situations of living up to expectations, to not knowing exactly what lives inside them, even the way they depend on other people.
