Fabador could see all that was unfolding before him. Fabador stood completely still as the icy bolts started to whiz past him, but two hit there mark. One embedded itself into Fabadors left shoulder while the other smashed into his right side, another was heading straight for his heart but with unholy speed Fabadors hand moved and caught the bolt mid flight when it was about an inch from his dark heart. Fabador grew angrey... Not at the wounds for he knew what he was doing, but because the elf had dared come so close as to try and kill him.
Fabador crushed the bolt within his hand then turned to face the on coming dragon he used his right hand to grab the icy shard that had embedded itself into his left shoulder, then without even flinching the slightest bit he he yanked the frozen shard free and threw it at the shimmering crack that had formed in the dragons head. Then with the same speed he grabbed the one that had been smashed into his right side and with the same unmoving expression he yanked it out and threw it too at the crack within the dragons skull. Then Fabador prepared to slide out of the dragons way if his plan didn't work. Fabador was angry but he didn't know how far he should take his anger in a fight as pointless as this, but he also couldn't let the elf get away with such an attempt.

The first shard shattered against the dragon's skull as it swung it head back and forth, but the second his its mark. It sunk deep into the ball of magic within the dragon's skull. The dragon's charge slowed as it tripped over it own front feet and fell face first to the ground, it slammed into a fairly large ice pillar beside Fabador, the glow within its skull growing ever darker. The bones collapsed into a heap before sinking back into the ground, leaving no trace other than Tam's dart.

Tam began slowly circling the arena towards where the dragon had fallen. He hadn't seen anyone over there, but his opponent had to have done something to kill the dragon. He used as much stealth as he could, even though he knew the creature must have some ability to see him. Curse this fog. Tam knew he needed to get a visual on his opponent soon in order to have any chance of winning.

Fabador was mad but he knew he must calm himself, as he did so he could feel exhaustion starting to creep into him... "Seems I wasn't concentrating enough." He said to himself. Indeed Fabador had not concentrated on his last few spells so instead of being large spells with mild energy drain they turned out to be large spells with a great drain on his energy. If Fabador didn't calm down and concentrate he would only have a few more large spells within him. Fabador took the tip of his thumb into his mouth and bit down drawing a small amount of blood the action started to calm Fabador... Or at least it made him less irritated.

At last Tam finally acquired for the first time since the battle started. He saw the figure standing still. That's weird. But still, this might be my last chance. He pulled a crystal and sent a fireball flying at Fabador from his back and one flying at his front. He timed it so hopefully the one from behind would draw his attention first. Then Tam drew his dirks and charged after the one headed for Fabador's back, hoping for the best.

Fabador turned around at the sound of the casting to see a shimmering ball of heat and fire blazing across the field in his direction. Fabador ducked the burning mass of fire but as he did so it singed him in passing, then as Fabador looked up he was just in time to draw his darkened sword and counter the elf's charge with a blade lock. "And what do you wish to accomplish with your life Elf?"
Fabadors voice was dark and foreboding, his tone was that of a thousand snakes whispering dark secrets into the ear of innocents, and his words wove icy sickles around the air between him and the elf. "Is it that you wish your people returned?" Fabadors smile was that of pure evil "Did the fires of the orcs burn your family? Did they shatter you hopes and the hopes of your people?" Fabadors smile grew even wider almost to an inhumanly point as he began to chuckle. "Could you have stopped it? Did you let your people down, your family, your friends..." A dark twinkle sparked in the depths of his dark icy eyes. "Is that why you fight Elf? To redeem yourself for the loss of your people... the loss or your family... the loss of your brother?"
Fabadors eyes grew to tiny slits as he gazed into the elf's eyes... into the elf's soul "Or do you live because you think death is to good for you?... That you deserve to walk this earth forever alone... forever misreble... forever contemplating that which you could have done, but didn't." Fabador drew close to the elfs face making sure that if the elf's blade where to slip from his that he would be able to get out of the way and whispered deeply his dark teachings "What if I said I could bring them back? That I could remake what you had and what you lost?" Fabador paused letting his words sink deeply into the elf's mind and echo there "Your people, your friends, your family, even your brother..."

Tam almost faltered before he caught himself. His eyes flashed and turned brown, seemingly ablaze. "I will not believe my brother dead!" he said, denying his worst fear. "You wish to know why I live?" he said harshly, his voice getting louder. "I live... TO KILL LYING FILTH LIKE YOU!" As his voice reached a yell he shoved Fabador's sword out wide with one dirk and flicked the other towards the shade's stomach. Without waiting to see if it was successful he dropped and rolled around the shade. He rolled to his feet behind Fabador, using his momentum to bring his dirk up and attempt to slice the shades back along the length of his spinal cord...

Fabador attempted to deflect the blade from stabbing him head on, but he only succeeded in deflecting it just enough so that it took a nice cut out of his side. Then Fabador used one of his shade abilities a "Phasing" if you will. Fabador body pressed together until it was as flat as paper, then as his body started to expand he was facing the other way. (Basically an impressive inhuman way of turning around without having to turn.) When he had "turned" around Fabador was in time to see the elf's blade coming with no time to spare Fabador dragged out even more magic from the dark void within himself and used it to instantly fade into the ground as a shadow. The shadow split into many sections and flew off into different directions, this technique had been made so that one could get out of bad situations...
When the power is used the user can not be damaged, but he can also not damage an enemy so both the user and the enemy receive down time to nurse there wounds and plan...
Fabador had used much of his magic and the wound that the elf had inflicted (although not fatal to a shade) it was deep and caused Fabador pain, but he would endure... But as Fabador had time to think he realized he didn't even know why he was here... This fight was trivial and dull, so why was he here? Fabador couldn't find an answer.

((ooc: so are you in corporeal form now? I'm not quite sure...))
Tam watched as the shadows scattered, cursing in his head. He grabbed his dirk he had thrown and jogged towards where he had left his blowgun and sword after he had retrieved them he crouched behind a pillar to think. He took slow breaths to calm himself. Calm down you idiot. This is just a stupid fight that means nothing. In fact, Tam didn't even know why he was bothering to finish this. Oh well, I'm in this I might as well finish it to the best of my ability. He hunkered down, searching for a plan...
