The Circle of Powers
Of the four elemental magics, three are true threats to one another. Fire defeats Earth. Earth defeats Water. Water defeats Fire. Each element in the circle has a weakness and a strength. This does not mean that a Fire mage will always win over a Earth mage and the same for a face off between the other types.
Air is the not included in this circle because it has no true place. Air is both weak and powerful against each magic. It can both aid and hinder each of the other elements. It can fuel a fire, or snuff it out for instance.
As I have already stated in the previous section, all the magics have levels. Now for a little about what masters of the elemental (Fire, Water, Earth, and Air) magics can do. All the elemental schools have a form which a master can obtain, turning a master fire mage into a being of fire, or a mater air mage into a being of air. Each has it's advantages and disadvantages. You as the role player will have to take these into account when using these forms. Each form increases the strength of spells cast of it's form. The phyisical apperance of these forms differ for each mage using them.
Fire Form
Weakness to water magic will increase and resistance to earth magic will increase. Speed increase and strength decrease.
Water Form
Weakness to earth magic increased and resistance to fire magic increases. Defense increase and strength decrease.
Earth Form
Weakness to fire magic increased and resistance to water increased. Strength is increased and speed decreased.
Air Form
The most difficult form to master. Resistance to other schools of magic decreased in this form. Injury from any form of physical attack is reduced, but not done away with, making the Air Form a powerful tool in a close combat situation. Agility is increased in this form.
The other magics do not have froms. They do have spells that enhance abilities.
Higher end magic (things that require Expert & Master) requires longer to use, make sure to take this into accout.
