A wave of non-lethal Clerical magic spun Mat around. "I am honor-bound to bring you before the council. As you, our beloved ally of old, are as well. Jayme's sword now was raised slightly.
Jaymes was a good man, but he had seen, and experianced many of the atrocities of the Elven occupation. With answers to the mystry of the Erodaen so close to being answered, the noramlly unflappable General was getting angry.

"Beloved allies my right toe..." mumbled Mat under his breath as he regained a bit of his balance that he had lost when he had been spun around. But he could tell that he wouldn't ever get anywhere without killing a few of the soldiers...which he didn't want to have to do. He sighed heavily, "Fine... I'll come to your god-blasted council, but I have to send message to one in authority first." Without waiting for a reply, Mat started casting. As he whispered, evaporated water droplets (which looked a bit like a cloud) briefly formed faint letters in the air before falling into the ground and disappearing. When he was done he turned back to the knight. "I should be getting an answer soon."

((...Well if your not going to put a post in...))
In a few minutes small letters of fire floated down in front of Mat, letters that were only legible to him. He read the message, then waved it away with his hand. "Sir knight, I am instructed to ask you to allow an hour or so for my master to meet us. He will undoubtedly handle your council better than I. It would seem you have a bit of business to finish anyways." Mat glanced at the battle, obviously about over, while waiting for a reply.

Jaymes made a curt gesture and the reserve flag was rasied and they charged into th fray. There would be no Elven survivors. "Tell me, Friend. Who is your master?"

Mat smiled as he answered cryptically, true to his elven lineage. "I have many masters, good knight, Palador not being the least of them. It would depend on what you mean. Of which would you like to know?"

The Knight had to resist an urge to slap the indignant elf with his steel shod hand. "You know what I mean, elf!" He gowled, "Answer the question...now"

Mat hid his chuckle at the knights frustration. "Very well. My master, Tam Eventine Al'Thor, Over-captain of the Shadows, once my instructor, and former appointed grand general of the Erodaen's grand army that fought at Outlance is the one coming to speak with your council." Mat watched the knights eyes for a flicker of recognition, for once one had met and fought beside Tam, they would not soon forget him.

"I have heard his name mentioned, I did not serve at Outlance. I was in the North guarding the villages there." Jaymes said. "When Can we expect him?" The battle was all but over. The elves had retreated in chaos, and most had been hunted down. There were no prisoners...

Mat weighed the facts for a moment. "From his message he was on the opposite side of the forest, so I would guess about an hour from the time of the message. That would leave about 45 minutes until he arrives. However, knowing Tam he'll probably find a way to get here sooner." Mat glanced at Falon, who had been strangely quiet since the argument between Mat and the knight.

Falon turned to his captor. "So how long can I expect to be.......... captive?"
