The city of Baldrav was light up with torches that night. The walls were lined with a mixture of women from the militia and men from the garrisoned army keeping watch as they had been each night since the order had come, telling of the murder of a high captain of The Shadows. There was six hundred strong between the militia and the garrison, with three hundred watching during the day and three hundred at night. But something was different about tonight. There was an expectance in the air...
Suddenly the troops saw something in the air... many somethings, falling towards the earth. As the objects came closer they emerged into hundreds of free-falling men. The city commander took action, "Load your bows and ready your magic." he commanded. "...PRET..." ready all the elves drew back their bows. "...........POUSSE!!!!" fire the elves released their bows as one and then Simultaneously shot a fireball from their palm towards the invaders. As they reloaded their bows they watched with satisfaction as a few convulsed and others burst into flame...

I watched my as the guy next to me burst into flames. I heard him yell, " if I'm going to die I'm going to burn then with me." he turn, and headed toward a building where the oil was kept. When I landed i heard this big explosion. I guess he had hit his target. Most of the men had made it down and were casting Darkness( a spell the clouds an area with darkness limiting vision' even the elves) We heard the sounds of our bat riders coming in. Then the thud of body's hitting the ground and exploding.( this i a curse put on by the necros. I did not make it up its in the game guild wars) most landed on the wall where the archers were, but then again the archers were everywhere. My group started to move throughout the city. We new what we had to do.

The undead on the ground soon ran into heavy resistance from the troops that were not on duty that night, who had been woken at the first siting of trouble. They sprang from the buildings, attacking with sword and spell. Those who knew white magic casted spells to enhance the elves vision in order to counteract the abnormal darkness. Those on the walls concentrated on the bat riders. The older children began to try to fight the fires from the buning undead in the places where there were was the least amount of resistant. The elves held most of the city dispite the surprise, but many were lost... on both sides.....

We have been hanging from these nets from two hours now. (The nets were spreadout with a bat on each corner. to distribute the weight evenly.) The men were ready for some blood shed. They just hoped that Han-a-bull and his elephant calvary(these were heavily armored elephants) were ready to tear an escape rout through the forest. there orders were to drop, sound the horn so that Han would know when to charge, then find a vampire and follow his command. The time has come they were about to drop .....

The arrival of the minotaurs was welcomed by the undead captain. Now we have the big ones. The first one landed with a great thud which sent almost everyone to the ground. The minotaur raised his horn and gave it a blow. At the sound of the horn the Calvary started it's march trough the Forest to the elven city.
By this time the undaed had started taking key points the armory was in there full control of the undead the wall was slowly being taken, any house without children in it was being burned. ( The undead may be evil but we still hold a child as a gift that should be cherished.Terrag learned this through moonra.)
We the undead captain had finally broken into the prison they found Moonra sitting there. When they finally opened the cell door all she said was what took you so long and headed out the door strapping on a sword.

((WTF!!! You didn't even say you were attacking my armory, or prison, or wall))
The elves knew they were fighting a loosing battle. They were surprised, outnumbered, and now the enemy was receiving reinforcments. But, just as their flicker of hope was about to be smothered, the mages at the capital city responded to the alert message that had been sent. Elven troops from Elvendar started arriving in groups of fifteen, teleported by groups of mages. Then raid became a battle again. The undead were stopped along the walls, and slowly started being pushed back. A force of elves surrounded the armory, firing at anything they saw moving through the few windows and the doors. Other groups appeared behind the undead inside the territory thought under undead control. When the undead lines were attacked from behind, the undead were devastated, being taken completely by surprise and picered in the middle. The battle raged on. But the elven comeback was not without loss. Some elves were mistakenly teleported to a position away from their squads, a side effect of mass teleportation, and were quickly overcome by the enemy...

Mat happened to have the misfortune of being one of these elves. When he finished teleporting and everything came back into focus, he was by himself in the middle of a group of fifteen minotaurs. He immediately let his instincts take over. He let himself go limp, falling to the ground to start an evasive roll. As he did, he drew his dirk from his book and threw it, catching one minotaurs in the throat. While he was rolling he threw a magically super-heated rock towards the nearest minotaur with magic, causing the startled beast to yell in pain as it burnt him. As Mat came to his feat, he drew his great sword and used his momentum to slice of another's head. He came to a stop with his sword in a ready position and thirteen minotaurs in front of him. He had survived the first moments. Now he just had to deal with the rest. And unfortunately, the rest weren't very happy with him attacking them from behind...

Moonra had taken control of the raid. "git those necros moving faster I want "fresh" troops coming alive. The rest of you fallow me"
Moonra had sent a battalion of undead to take back the wall. then she saw that a group of minotaurs was having trouble with one elf. so she went over to see what was happening.
In the distance you could hear the sounds of heavy feet.

The elves on the wall began lighting their arrows in the braziers before firing them into the fresh mob of undead that were trying to swarm them. As some of the undead tried to put themselves out, the fire would spread, causing mass chaos in the ranks.
Meanwhile, Mat was caught between a wall and a... very angry group of minotaurs. As they advanced slowly, he began to chant. Just before they got to him he finished the spell and the ground directly in front of him began to crack. A large shape rose up and took form, ending up to be a ten foot tall, and extremely bulky earth golem. It was small for a golem, but efficient. It immediately charged the minotaurs and tore or trampled all but five to pieces, like a trireme ramming a fishing boat. As the Five remaining minotaurs turned to face the returning golem, Mat jumped forward, using his great sword to good effect on three of the five's exposed back. Now there were only two left...

Moonra was behind the elf. "You are mine". with that being said she drew her sword.
The forces that were attacking the walls were being torn apart. There was a thunder getting louder. the undead new what was coming. and they waited. for when the heavy elephant hit the wall with enough force to knock everyone on it to there knees. they started there rush. The elfs unable to git up before the undead hord was upon them were torn to shreds.

Luckily for the elves, the species had extremely quick reflexes, so only the extreme outer edges were decimated before the elves were back up and fighting. Some archers turned and targeted the elephants far enough away that they couldn't thrash and hit the walls. They shot for the eyes, blinding the elephants and putting them in severe pain. Others brought the mounted ballistae into use, firing flaming missiles at them, crashing into the elephants with enough force to bring the smaller ones to their knees, not to mention their sharp points. The elves suffered many casualties, but they held the city still. They all prayed that the undead would soon withdraw though, for they didn't know how much longer they could hold off the furious assault...

Mat watched as the golem finished off one of the two left. But then the last one scored a mortal wound on it as it finished the same minotaur. The golem would not hold together much longer, but at least it had served its purpose. Just then, Mat sensed something behind him. He spun and brought his sword up just in time to block what would have been a fatal sword blow. He found himself face to face with a vampire woman. He immediately attacked her with the best swordplay he could pull off as tired as he was, thinking to finish the wretch off quickly. But the creature blocked every movement and returned in kind, sending Mat backwards as he fought to block her blows. "Man," he thought, "She’s good." As he attacked again, he realized that she was a superior swordsmen, and she was also stronger than he. On top of that, he was already tired. He needed to finish this quickly...

( the elephants are heavy armored)
Moonra broke way from the battle,"Now lets Begin this the right way",she gave a bow then the elf in a enraged charge ran at moonra which she sidestepped while bringing her sword across the els chest. The elf crumbles on the ground behind her. Moonra put her sword away and started to take a step and then looked back and the body. The elf was still breathing. "not worth my time", she said and started to head twords the gate house.

Mat lay on the ground, barely conscious, lying in a pool of his own blood and in extreme pain. He tried to focus his mind through the pain and heal himself. He managed to stop the flow of blood some, but he couldn't focus well. The attack seamed to be relenting a little bit now the enemy seemed to be falling back little by little. As he became dizzy from loss of blood, a minotaur came to stand over him and raised its massive ax. With his last strength, Mat convulsively brought his great sword up and stabbed it in the heart, causing it to fall on top of him. Mat's last thought before he lost consciousness was one wondering how the vampire beat him so easily and what Tam would think of his second failure in the last few days...

the raid had been a success. Moonra had been free. The battle had been a fierce one But once Han-A-Bull crashed through the gate it was just a quick run out. only a few important beings were lost in the fray. 2 Necros And a general Though the footsoulders that were lost were many they are not worth mentioning.

Mat awoke in the daylight of the next morning with a Brother of the white hand standing over him, having just healed him. Mat asked feebly, "What became of the undead and minotaurs?"
"They fled a few minutes after the elephants arrived. They were apparently here in order to free the vampire from the dungeons," the cleric replied.
Mat thought of the vampire with which he had fought and groaned feebly, "What were the casualties?" he asked as he clambered to his feet. Looked around and retrieved his dirk from the minotaurs body he had killed with it.
"150 elven militia and warriors dead or missing, I'm afraid. The attack caught us unprepared. About 50 buildings were burnt to the ground, including the oil warehouse. Thankfully only a few children were killed. Our walls still stand, but we will have to sing a new gate."
Mat groaned again and set out to help the city recover. At dusk, he teleported to Elvendar in order to report to King Tamathar.

Because Azrael was busy dealing with a strong soul, so the soul collectors where sent out to obtain the souls of the vanquished. In psychical form they looked like carrion crows, but in the spirit realm they where extremely long skinny dragons with two wings up at the front by there heads... even though it seems they shouldn't be able to fly... they can

It was generally agreed on by The Erodaen that crows were the eyes and ears of evil. Therefore, every crow that was seen, was shot at. And the elves had very good aim...

As they where shot at the spirit gathers illusion dropped and the gathers where revealed as the shinny souls of both friends and foes of the elves rose toward the gathers they collected them as quickly as they could so that they could bring them to there final resting place. (I see it as bad luck to shoot at spirit collectors)

One of the few undead that where captured and not yet killed. saw the allies be taken away. The Tremble because death would have no mercy on them.
( they can see the dead because there were dead)
