Opale walk into the Forest Kingdom and was amazed at its beauty. "WoW...this is a nice place." she thought out loud to her self.
Opale's black hair was up in a ponytail because of how long she had traveled to get to the elven kingdom. Her rusty brown body was glazed with sweat.

An elf suddenly jumped down in front of her, sword in hand. "Who are that you walk into the forest of The Erodaen without our leave? And what be your purpose here?" he said, it wasn't really a question either. "If your thinking of trickery, know that there are thirty elves pointing their arrows directly at you."

"Hey, I'm just passing through. I've been exiled from my village and all other villages of my country. I haven't really be exiled by the Council I just have nowhere to go so I wander around. I'm the wandering centaur." as she said this she drew one of her twin blades that were strapped to her side. She had left her two handed sword and bow and arrows in a hut on the outskirts of Jimdia. "I mean no harm to you or any of the elves."

The elf looked suspiciously at her sword, "Yeah, right, well, I'd like to believe you but...wait, one moment..." The elf closed his eyes and put his fingertips on his temples. He stood there for about a minute, then opened his eyes. He looked surprised and said, "Oh, your telling the truth, no offense ma'am, but we've had trouble lately, and we've had to tighten down our borders, I'm sure you understand. You may pass," he handed her a small bronze token, expertly formed into a leaf. "Take this with you and you won't be delayed by any one else, just show it to 'em." He make a small signal with his hands and the elven patrol emerged from the bushes not ten yards away from the two, all lowering there bows. "Once again, sorry. I would not have it said that the elves are hostile to those who don't mean us harm. You may continue."

" I understand in times of war each country stays to itself. Most people I come across don't believe me or they do and I tell them the whole story and they make me leave. But I must ask how you know I am telling the truth. I would guess that you have some kind of telepathic powers." Opale said

"All of us that have blood of the elves have magic in our blood. It is simple for us to divine the truth from your memory," replied the patrol leader.

"The nearest would be....in the city of Ellevar. Just head directly east of here and you should find it within the hour. Keep an eye out for it though, or you could walk through the town without noticing it," the patrol leader replied.

"Thank you." Opale turned directly east to go to the town of Ellevar. Just as the elf had said she found it within the hour. Opale felt very akward walking through a town of elves when she was a centaur. Opale walked into a store and tapped an elf inside on the shoulder,"Where is the inn located?" she asked.

The elven shopkeeper looked slightly disgruntled at the sight of a non-elven visiter, for The Erodaen didn't have many outside visiters, but managed to reply, "Go right on the path out side for about a hundred yards and it should be on your left. It'll have a sign with the picture of a blindfolded elf. Name o' the inn is The Blind Swordmaster."

"Thank you" Opale started down the path and found the inn called The Blind Swordmaster. Opale walked inside the inn and walked up to the counter. "I would like room. If there is one available."Opale said.

The inn had fallen silent, relatively, with the centaur's arrival. The innkeeper looked shocked and stared with open amazement at her for a moment. Then, as if he had just comprehended her, he jerked and handed her key, "last door on the left."

The great city of Elvendar, which was usually the most peaceful and beautiful city in the world, was in an uproar. Men and women scurried everywhere, carrying armor and weapons. It was obvious that the grand army of The Erodaen was in the last stages of mobilization. Opale was only a few steps past the gate when a nearby guards topped her. "What are doing here? This is not the place for outsiders to be at this time."

" I have come to seek a place of refuge and to make an alliance with your country. I was exiled by the people and I am not accepted in society." Opale said,"Do I need to explain my exile or may I go and talk to your leader."

The guard looked slightly suspicious, "You may go speak with our leader, that is, IF you have the sign of the borders." When Opale produced it he said, "Very well, follow me." He led her to the biggest tree in the middle of the city. As she started up the ramp, he said, "Don't look down if you are scared of hights. I must leave and get back to the gates. The audience room is at the top of this ramp. You should be able to tell who King Tamathar is, and he's very lax in formality so you should be ok, just be polite."

((that's ok)) Opale started up the rap. It was strange for her to not be on the ground. "I don't really like this." Opale walked into the audience room and just like the guard said she knew exatly who he was. She walked up to him and said," Hail King Tamathar! I am Opale Longlance of Jimdia, I have come to ask for an alliance with you and your country. I was exiled from my socity and I am also in need of a place of refuge." She bowed onto her front knees and waited for his reply.

Tamathar looked at the centaur for a moment, then felt for her conciousness and looked at her story. He saw her shiver slightly as his conciousness brushed against hers. "Ris Opale Longlance, once of Jimdia. You have a true heart and a steadfast will, if a little brash, but that can be tempered here among us. You are welcome among us for as long as you wish. But first, tell me, why have you chosen The Erodaen?"
